Elvis Blue has become a household name in South Africa over the past 15 months. His self-titled album, Elvis Blue, reached gold status just 29 days after its release and went platinum in late 2011.
He has recently been awarded a SAMA for Best Adult Contemporary Album and he has toured the country extensively. Elvis has also shared the stage with international artists such as James Blunt and UB40, continuing to endear fans all over the country with his amazing live performances. Taking a look back at what this great artist has achieved over the last 15 months, makes it clear that it has been quite a journey…
Long description
When listening to Elvis Blue's latest album, Journey, it is no wonder that he is regarded as one of the most successful South African Idols winners to date.
His second album, Journey, was released in July this year and already one of the songs on the album, "Lifeline" has become a huge hit on South African radio. "Lifeline" is currently at number six on the Algoa FM Top 30.
According to Blue, the album "was written backstage, on a farm, in a guesthouse, in the van and on tour...so it was kind of written on a journey", he explained the inspiration behind the title of the album.

South Africa's best idol to date is back with another good album. More mature and evident of somebody that's been through a lot since his last album, this sounds more sincere and seems to be a truer reflection of the person that Elvis Blue really is. Great work, keep it up!
