Mariah's multi-platinum Christmas album is one of the most popular next to Kenny G and Bonny M's. There were no #1 singles from this album but her rendition of the classic is amazing as she was just coming into her own during this period in 1993/1994. Her biggest selling albums Musicbox/Daydream follow this one. Worthwhile collection to anyone who loves Christmas music.

Mariah's Merry Christmas album remains populer. It can be found in many album charts and within 2 weeks the single "All I want for christmas is you" will be re-released in Japan. And to top that, a new video for "o holy night" debuted on the Canadian television channel "much music..." Since the release of Merry Christmas, back in '94 already 5 singles has been released from this album, "all i want for christmas is you", "jesus born on this day", "joy to the world", "miss you most (at christmas time)" and "o holy night." only the first and the third singles were commercial releases.
