With over 2 million albums sold worldwide and more than 43 000 local sales, South African rock giants Seether also performed in front of 98 000 South African concertgoers at the Coca-Cola Colab Massive Mix this March.
One Cold Night is their most accessible album yet; a live acoustic album that provides fans with an intimate experience of the band.
The CD portion of One Cold Night presents an intimate 12 song performance and an alternate mix of the latest single "The Gift". "Broken", the worldwide hit featuring Amy Lee of Evanescence, is presented with the intensity and passion only possible in a live intimate setting. "Remedy", voted best song of 2005 (above Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams) by US radio giants The Buzz, is given an acoustic makeover. "Tied My Hands", a rare gem from the band's local debut as Saron Gas, is a treat for fans of the Fragile album (currently exclusive to South Africa). "Immortality", a rare Pearl Jam song, is played with that distinct Seether edge.
The DVD portion presents the band as only dedicated fans will know them. The full acoustic performance is personal and heartfelt. After the show WMMR presenter Pierre Robert conducts an hour-long interview with the band. The band discusses life on the road, inspiration, musical politics and the pleasure of returning to play for South African audiences. Other bonus features include the music video and making of "The Gift" as well as photos from the show.
