"I still believe in God... but God no longer believes in me." With these words, Wayne Hussey and the band launched themselves as The Mission with a Top 20 debutalbum "God's Own Medicine". An avalanche of iconic concert performances followed, including headlining the Reading Festival on at least two occassions. On stage The Mission were majestic with their army of supporters ever loyal. Several major hit singles including "Butterfly on a wheel", "Stay With Me" and "Deliverance" and "Into the Blue" saw the band's music penetrate a more mainstream audience. With over 3 million albums sold, The Mission remain one of the UK's greatest rock bands.
