this album was briefly banned in south africa, and after listening to the lyrics of "get in the ring" and "shotgun blues", you can understand why. banned or not, this album still represents one of the best collections of hard rock music you are likely to find anywhere. axl was never afraid to voice his opinions, and it works brilliantly with his bad attitude and genius musical talent. older listeners might get put off with the somewhat immature image of the band (and some of the songs), but don't let that prevent you from appreciating the raw genius of the band called guns and roses.
