Easily one of the best movie releases of the year and a good way to show off your HDTV and surround setup. As the previous reviewer mentioned, this is not the best transfer, but it is FAR from terrible. It's quite an exaggeration to give it 2 stars. As a technical aside: Installation and setup makes a big difference in quality. Over-processing is usually responsible for added graininess due to processing by the BD player, then receiver and then TV. Apply sharpness filters to a photograph in any graphics program 3 consecutive times and you will make the best picture look awful. All picture processing should be turned off on all but 1 device to get the best quality). For reference, I watched this on a 50" full HD panel (Calibrated) connected to a Polk Audio surround system, Denon AVR1910 receiver and Polk Audio 10" Sub. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing and makes up for any visual issues (small as they may be) sorry for the long write-up but BD in general will continue to get poor reviews until more people are educated about proper device setup.
