2011 SAMA Winners - Best Selling Album & Best Newcomer
A #1 Platinum status selling Debut album, a sold out arena tour, an international record deal, an MK Award for 'Best Newcomer', winner of the Heat magazine 'Hot 100', winners of 2 2011 SAMA Award and touring the world along the way, the past 12 months has been a whirlwind experience for the Chaplin twins. ON Friday 1st July 2011 Locnville unleash their brilliant new album 'Running To Midnight' featuring the smash hit 'Stars Above You'.
The album was written and recorded over the past 9 months in Cape Town, the USA and whilst on the road promoting their debut album across Europe. The album engineered, mixed and co-produced by American producer Alan Armitage (Chris Brown / The Game / NSYNC / Backstreet / Boyz II Men).
Commenting on the new album, Andrew Chaplin said: “I'm really excited about this new album, we've let
loose with experimentation in the sound. With saying that, it was tough, because there's an expectation
of this being a follow up to a very successful debut - but overall I'm very confident in this album, because
it's much more relevant to where we are now.”
Brian Chaplin added: “’Running To Midnight’ was definitely the most eventful experience I've had with
writing and recording, and it comes through in the sound. There are highs and lows, and all around a
seriously intense and fun story. This is not our previous album, and I can't wait to show it to everybody!”
