21 was the best-selling musical release of 2011 and helped revitalise lagging sales of the United States and UK music industry.

Critics speculated on the nature of the album's success with audiences across the world and viewed its reception in the US as a shift from the overtly sexual and sonically bombastic status quo.

As of October 2012, it has sold over 25 million copies worldwide.

In 2012, the album won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and the BRIT Award for British Album of the Year.

With Adele's new Album (titled 21), she simply blasts you away with her talent. Showing that she can cover a wide variety of genres, she takes the stage and does what she does best : singing until you get chills (which takes about 10seconds). Watch out for hits like 'Someone Like You' and 'Rumour Has It'.

Adele derserves every bit of the success and adulation she is receiving at the moment. Her album is moving and portrays a musical ability rarely seen in this era of "disposable music" and manufactured talent. Her vocals are incredible throughout and on "Someone Like You" in particular, so brutally honest and convincing, that her broken heart practically drives you to tears. Truth be told,there isn't a bad track on this album and THAT is rare. Regardless of genre-preferences(I am a rock fan), this is nothing short of brilliant!
