I`m a blueblood Capetonian, born and bred in Bellville and Durbanville, where I still live. I love my music and is a hardcore ROCK fan of bands like Metallica, G`nR, Live and Linkin Park. I would have never been caught dead listening to traditional Afrikaans music(IT SOUNDED FUNNY-NOT right). Out of curiosity I bought Jack Parow`s 1st and 2nd records. I liked it, not because it`s good music(`cause it aint!) but because I can relate to it AND it`s @#$ funny. I also `DIG` Fokofpolisiekar now and is already a big fan, but I must say that `Die Reenboogperde`, like Parow says, wins the prize(in my book)I downloaded all the free songs of both records from the Internet (iMesh)and needless to say....I could`nt beleive my EARS. Exellent, mind blowing stuff. Music of a very high standard. I fell in love with it. I love the songs: Vinger Aleen, Oorlewing en Leja...There is without a doubt some serious talent at work. According to me, the BEST Afrikaans `outfit` EVER. And it is on par with the best in the world. Julle het my weer laat trots voel om Afrikaans te wees!!
