Even if you are not a cyclist, or know nothing about the Tour de France, this book is a definite must read. "It's Not About The Bike" was Lance's first book and following on from this inspiring story, "Every Second Counts" takes you into the life of Lance Armstrong, and his troubles with the media and politics with regards to the doping scandals in cycling, but also to the highlights of his many efforts on the cancer stage. It is fascinating to see how just the power of positive thinking can change the outcome of difficult situations, and Lance illustrates how he has used this principle to overcome several adverse situation throughout his life, and to achieve the goals he set for himself. Don't let me spoil the book for you, go get your claws into this great read, maybe you might even be inspired to take up cycling..
