Long description
The Call of Duty series returns to its World War II roots once again in this continuation of the first person shooter series.
Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare may have moved the shooter series into the modern day, but World at War takes a step into the past once again, continuing the remaining stories of World War II. As with other Call of Duty titles, World at War lets players experience battle from a number of different perspectives. This time, players will join the Marine Corps of the United States while fighting in the Pacific and the Soviet Red Army as they invade Berlin. The tightly scripted sequences of intense combat push the player forward and make sure they experience the overwhelming combat Call of Duty is known for.
World at War may play in a different era, but a number of the tweaks and improvements made in Call of Duty 4 return here, including perks, which - while in multiplayer matches - allow players to select from a number of different enhancements to improve their accuracy, speed and other attributes.
Call of Duty - World at War keeps the intense, dramatic feeling of live combat, while a number of marked improvements from more recent additions return.
