This is the best game I've ever played. Just know this, afterwards it's hard to find a game that compares to GOW. I didn't experience one glitch. Great graphics, brilliant story, action packed fight scenes. Addictive!!!

This is the most enjoyable game, I really adore this game, I assure you that you won't stop playing this game. I'm just waiting for God of War 2. But this seems to be the best or more than the best game that I've played on the PS2. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THIS GAME IN YOUR PS2 GAMES COLLECTION. I CAN REFUND YOU, YOUR MONEY FOR THIS FANTASTIC GAME IF YOU'RE NOT SATISFIED PROVIDED YOU UNDERSTAND HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME. I played it until my PS2 control malfunction due to the fantastic moves. Fortunately it's still under warranty. Get GOD OF WAR as soon as you can.

This game is the best game I have ever played thus far. Its got cool animation, huge explorations and mind blowing fantasy destinations.
The story line was brilliantly composed around ancient Greece.
From exploring fantasy landscapes with huge statues to the desert sands to the Greek god of the sea Peseidon's underwater world. From being killed by Aries (Greek god of war) having to fight your way through the Underworld (world of the dead) to venturing your way back up to the living to ultimately face your worst foe (including yourself - how sick is that)
There is a bit of everything for everyone in this game (except for the kiddies - alot of blood and gore) from adventure, combat to puzzles.
Awesome combos, ecstatic powers and a wide variety of enemies to kill using diffent and killer finishing moves.
Gameplay is quite challanging and a not so easy Challenge Series Mode to unlock some cool video clips and some insight for the future of the game.
I honestly cant find any fault with this here game. It certainly exceeded all my expectations.
Possibly the best game every made
Only regret I have is selling my PS 2 cause I hear the sequal is due for release early 2007 and word is already out of a GOW 3 to be released on PS3.
Hope Sony will be so kind to share this game with the XBOX 360 console.

Absolutely the best game i have played on playstation2 yet, has adventure, technical difficulty,awesome fighting scenes and a great story behind it. Very gorey though so not for the kiddies.

This game has it all: Action, Visuals and puzzles to challenge the brain. I can't wait for 'God of War II' (Coming Feb' 2007 ... as far as I know).
Parents beware! This is definately a game for ADULTS ONLY!

I loved, loved, loved this game. It wasn't impossibly difficult, although you can put the difficulty level higher if you so wish. It tested your control, your brain, your reflexes, all of it. We had so much fun we could not put this game down for two weeks (until we finished it). It has a satisfying story line and is quite a long game, so you won't finish it in a day.
A definite must have for anybody who wants instant gratification.
Please note, it is gory and definitely not suitable for children. Voted one of the top 10 violent games.

Just completed the game and what can I say. Possibly one the best games I've ever played. Tactically brilliant and visually appealing. Definately a must have in your collection, if you like quest games. Will keep you entertained for a good few hours.

If ur looking for a game that will captivate you from start to finish,then look no further than this offering from SCEA itself.Stunning graphics,a dark Greekish atmosphere and an excellent score adds to the game's appeal.The puzzle's aint too hard but if ur not the patient type,u might find urself struggling a bit in that department! However this is not for younger playerz as the game contains a whole lotta blood n guts n even a sex scene n nudity.Still,get a copy of this game,enjoy it n see what the fuss is all about!
