Picture Quality and Lens
With 18.2 megapixels you can get a 11x14 print at full resolution with room for cropping and with greater enlargement possible to achieve high quality banner size prints. The 30 times Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T lens has a 35mm film equivalent focal length range of 29 - 870mm, which will give you a perspective from Extra wide angle to Full telephoto for Large groups and landscapes to Very Creative portraits and distant landmarks of interest. The lens does not extend even when zooming. It also has a 120 times digital zoom and up to 30 times smart zoom which is just a digital zoom that adjusts for optimum results by lowering resolution. This camera is also capable of a high 12800 ISO for better lowlight photography.
