It has been three years since MEGATRON and the DECEPTICONS last threatened the world. Earth’s leaders believe that MEGATRON has fled the planet in defeat-but OPTIMUS PRIME knows better. An alien transmission is intercepted, exposing MEGATRON’S plan to spread chaos and fear among the humans, and unleash the ultimate DECEPTICON assassin: SHOCKWAVE! The AUTOBOTS must hunt MEGATRON, neutralise SHOCKWAVE, and save their new home from total destruction at the hands of the DECEPTICONS.

Earth is under attack from the villainous Decepticons once more in this game adaptation of the third in the Transformers film series.
Taking the Hasbro toy line in a bold new direction, the Transformers have been given a new lease of life thanks to Michael Bay’s blockbuster film series. The third in the series, Dark of the Moon, sees the Autobots and the Decepticons face each other on earth one again, with Decepticon leader MEGATRON planning to spread fear across the globe by unleashing the ultimate assassin: SHOCKWAVE. The city streets are the Decepticons’ new target, and the Autobots will have to face them in the open with their trusted human allies by their side.
In this game adaptation of the film, players can switch between their chosen hero’s robotic form and their vehicular one to engage in combat or travel long distances and escape conflicts quickly. Players can use the 3DS's touch screen and stylus to control the action.
Transformers - Dark of the Moon captures the blockbuster feel of the third Transformers film, letting players take control of their favourite robots in disguise in a new storyline.
